Morris And Parfitt Take First Victory Of The Season For Team Parker Racing In British GT

The #31 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 won a lights-to-flag victory in Round Four of the 2016 British GT Championship at the hands of Seb Morris and Rick Parfitt Jnr.

Second was the #79 Black Bull Ecurie Ecosse McLaren 650S GT3 driven by Alasdair McCaig and Rob Bell. Completing the GT3 podium was the #33 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán with Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw at the wheel.

In GT4 Mike Robinson and Graham Johnson took their second class win of the weekend in the #50 PMW World Expo Racing / Optimum Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4 ahead of the #60 Ebor GT Motorsport Maserati GT MC GT4 driven by Abbie Eaton and Marcus Hoggarth. Third in class was the #75 RCIB INSURANCE RACING #75 Ginetta G55 GT4 with the driver pairing of Aaron Mason and Rob Barrable. Mason was making his British GT debut this weekend at Oulton Park. Griffin And Carroll Take Maiden Win For Barwell Motorsport’s Lamborghini Huracán In British GT

Adam Carroll and Liam Griffin won Round Three of the 2016 British GT Championship in the #6 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

Second was the #7 AMDTuning.com BMW Z4 GT3 driven by Lee Mowle and Joe Osbourne. Closing rapidly over the final laps of the one-hour race was the #31 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 which was started by Rick Parfitt Jnr and handed over to Seb Morris for a blinding last twenty minutes which saw him close the gap to the #7 car to .23 of a second as they crossed the line.

In GT4 the PMW World Expo Racing / Optimum Motorsport pairing of Graham Johnson and Mike Robinson, driving the #50 Ginetta G55 GT4 took the class victory. Second was the #42 Generation AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4 driven by Matthew Graham and Jack Mitchell. Taking the third podium slot was the #45 RCIB INSURANCE RACING Ginetta G55 GT4 driven by William Phillips and Jordan Stilp. Barwell Motorsport Locks Out Front Row For British GT Round Three

Further excitement was added to qualifying for rounds three and four of the 2016 British GT Championship as all four class qualifying sessions helped shaped the grids for the two one-hour races.

The grid for race one on Monday May 30 was set by the GT3 Am and GT4 Am qualifying sessions and the grid, and the starting drivers, for the second race was set by the GT3 Pro and GT4 Pro qualifying sessions.

Barwell Motorsport locked out the front row for the first race when Jon Mishaw put the #33 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 on pole with a 1:35.618. Starting alongside Minshaw will be Liam Griffin in the sister #6 Lamborghini Huracán after he set a 1:35.618. Team Parker Racing with its #31 Bentley Continental GT3 completed the first three on the grid after Rick Parfitt Jnr set a 1:35.680. British GT Set For Oulton Park Bank Holiday Scorcher

The British GT Championship returns to Oulton Park on May 30 for the third and fourth rounds of the 2016 season.

27 cars will take to the grid for Bank Holiday Monday’s double header of two one-hour races.

Missing from the GT4 entry list are Stratton Motorsport’s #70 Lotus Evora GT4 previously driven by Will Hunholtz and Robin Shute and #71 Aston Martin Vantage which Robin Marriott and David Tinn contested at Rockingham.

Driver changes for Oulton Park include James Holder in the Generation AMR Racing #44 Aston Martin Vantage, replacing Jamie Chadwick who drove for the first two rounds. Additionally, Aaron Mason replaces Wilson Thompson in the #75 RCIB Insurance Racing Ginetta G55 GT4 after Thompson withdrew after competing at Brands Hatch and Rockingham.
