Audi Launches New R8 LMS GT4 For 2020 (06.11.19)

In conjunction with the launch of its new R8 V10 RWD, Audi has released details of its next generation of the R8 LMS GT4.

The Audi R8 LMS GT4 has won 17 titles worldwide and the new car, produced at Böllinger Höfe in the Neckarsulm region, has been constructed to make it even easier to drive than its predecessor.

The ABS and traction control systems can be precisely adjusted allowing, within its eight different settings, for varying set-ups depending on weather, track conditions and grip levels. The new R8 LMS GT4 has also adopted the steering wheel configuration of the Audi R8 LMS GT2, launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, with two rotary switches for ABS and Traction Control centrally located for easier access.

The car will be powered by a 5.2 litre V10 engine, delivering up to 495 bhp and combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

There are 27 opportunities globally to campaign the new Audi R8 LMS GT4, including the Audi Sport Seyffarth R8 LMS Cup in Europe and the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup in Asia and Australia.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT finished fifth in the 2019 Blancpain GT Teams standings and Audi currently lie third in the manufacturers standings for the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge.
