Beechdean AMR Announces Further Changes For British GT At Snetterton

Following the announcement on July 25 that the Beechdean AMR #1 Vantage GT3 would not appear at Snetterton on August 6 and 7, the High Wycombe-based team has announced further changes for the next round of the 2016 British GT Championship.

The team has announced that Jordan Albert, who partnered Jack Bartholomew in the #407 Aston martin Vantage GT4, has left the team. Bartholomew and Albert are currently joint second in the GT4 Drivers Championship with Beechdean AMR currently fourth in the GT4 Teams Championship.

No reason has been given for Albert’s departure but the team made it clear that it understood the decision and that it was ‘sadly unavoidable due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.’

“Jordan has delivered more that we could have expected for his first season in British GT and driving a GT4 car,” said Team Owner Andrew Howard. “He is an ambitious young man and a skilful driver who has a promising career ahead of him and we wish him every success in the future.”

With the team working hard for the GT4 Teams Championship win, the decision has been made to partner Jack Bartholomew with Ross Gunn from the #1 GT3 car.

As a result, Gunn and Bartholomew in the #407 car will be joined by Jamie Chadwick and Paul Hollywood in the #408 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 at Snetterton in August.

Qualifying for rounds seven and eight of the 2016 British GT Championship starts at 16:25 on August 6 with the lights going out for the start of the one-hour round seven on August 7 at 12:00.
