Hong Kong-based KC Motorgroup Ltd (KCMG) has announced that it will return to the Total 24 Hours of Spa in 2020 with Porsche.

The team entered the iconic Belgian enduro for the first time in 2019, Alexandre Imperatori, Oliver Jarvis and Edoardo Liberati campaigning a Nissan GT-T Nismo GT3 to 18th place at an event that saw heavy rain interrupt proceedings.

The team has switched to Porsche for the 2020 season and has already enjoyed finishing as the highest-placed representative of the Stuttgart marque on three occasions in the NLS series (previously VLN) at the
Nürburgring.

In preparation for the twice-round-the clock classic, KCMG will field a wildcard entry for the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring on September 5 – 6. Imperatori and Liberati will be joined by Josh Burdon for the six-hour race in the Eifel mountains.

Team founder Paul Ip is looking forward to returning to the Ardennes on October for the 2020 Total 24 Hours of Spa.

“We are delighted to be competing in the 24 Hours of Spa next month and I think that the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring this weekend will be ideal preparation,” said Paul Ip.

“As a team, we have had a great debut season with Porsche, and I hope to see that really bear fruit in the races we have coming up. The drivers are getting to grips with the car and racing at a track like Spa-Francorchamps will be another great opportunity for them to show what they can do.”

GT World Challenge Europe is incredibly competitive, and I can’t wait for this new challenge,” said Imperatori. “That being said, we will aim to gather experience ahead of the 24 Hours of Spa and get the team up to speed quickly. We have a strong crew behind us and I’m sure we can do well.”
