Panis-Barthez Compétition and Tech 1 Racing has announced that the all-new French partnership will campaign the Lexus RC F GT3 for the full 2019 Blancpain GT Series.
The Lexus RC F GT3, campaigned by Emil Frey Racing in 2018, won at Circuit Paul Ricard last season and achieved a seventh place finish in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
The partnership of Panis-Barthez Compétition and Tech 1 Racing has worked on several projects over recent years and will now turn its joint expertise to the 2019 season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe.
Team Manager Simon Abadie is excited about the challenges ahead.
“Tech 1 and Panis-Barthez Compétition are delighted to join the Blancpain racing family,” said Abadie. “We’re well aware of the size of the challenge that awaits us. We’re going to discover one of the the premier, most competitive categories in the world and we have to get to grips with our new car, a new tyre manufacturer and new rivals.
“But I know just how combative my team is and we’ll do everything in our power and those of Lexus shine!”
The driver line-up and also the number of team entries will be revealed ahead the season-opening Test Day at Circuit Paul Ricard on March 13 – 14.
