The #8 Team Abba Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Richard and Sam Neary was unable to get out for qualifying due to the damage caused by an exploding brake disc in FP2 that was found to be irrepairable in time for the two ten-minute sessions.

Ian Loggie at the wheel of the #6 RAM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 set the early pace by setting the quickest time in the first GT3 qualifying session with a 1:28.195 followed by a 1:28.265 from Michael Igoe in the #18 WPI Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

Yelmer Burman was pushing the #6 Mercedes to the limit as he sought to turn Ian Loggie’s provisional pole into actual pole. Two of Buurman’s lap times were disallowed for track limit infringements before the Dutchman put in a 1:27.107 to put the Mercedes to the top of the timing screens.
