Team HARD British GT Championship Driver Ben Wallace To Carry StudentMotorsport.com Logo In 2018 Championship (05.03.18)

 Ben Wallace, who will be driving one of two Team HARD-entered Ginetta G55 GT4s in the 2018 British GT Championship, will be wearing the StudentMotorsport.com logo on his race-suit. The popular green-and-grey will also be featured on Ben’s car.

Ben Wallace enjoyed a busy season in 2017, competing in the VW Racing Cup and the VAG Trophy, where he finished third. He contested three rounds of the British GT Championship where, along with co-driver Adam Hatfield, he finished tenth in the GT4 class at Brands Hatch, driving the #36 Autoaid / RCIB Insurance Racing Ginetta G55 GT4 in Round Nine of the 2017 British Championship.

Manor Racing’s Gemma Hatton Joins Student Motorsport As Contributor (06.03.17)

Student Motorsport (www.studentmotorsport.com), the first online motorsport community for young people, students, graduates, educators, institutions, professionals and organisations, has announced that Gemma Hatton, who, until recently, worked as Manor Racing’s Tyre and Strategy Engineer has joined as a contributor.

Gemma Hatton graduated from the University of Bath in 2014 with a Batchelor of Engineering degree and completed an MSc in Advanced Motorsport Engineering from Cranfield in 2015.

Prior to her role at Manor Racing, Gemma worked as a technical writer for Racecar Engineering magazine, as Data Engineer for Support Our Paras Racing and as Formula 1 Trackside Engineer for Pirelli.

Student Motorsport Intends To Keep UK At The Pinnacle of Motorsport Development (17.01.17)

JP Latham, founder of StudentMotorsport.com, is on a mission. He wants to keep the UK at the forefront of global motorsport and he sees the education and development of young, aspiring racing professionals as vital to ensuring that race teams have the resources they need for success in the future.

JP, as he is known, spoke to EnduranceAndGT.co.uk editor Andy Lloyd at Autosport International 2017. JP has good reason to believe he is perfectly positioned to help the next generation of engineers, technicians, mechanics and media professionals – he’s been involved in motor racing, from the perspective of enthusiast, team member, student and teacher for most of his adult life.

”I’m a fan of motorsport and I have a great passion for it because it’s such an exciting and rewarding industry. That’s why I want to help the next generation, because of my background.”

He is well qualified to provide that help. JP studied motorsport at two Further Education colleges and within Higher Education.
