Tim Burton, better known to his Youtube fan-base as ‘@Shmee150’, the world’s most popular supercar vlogger with nearly 1m subscribers and over 375m views of his famous vlogs, is approaching his first race of 2017 with confidence.

Tim had an outing in an Audi TT Cup car in 2016 and feels that, for 2017, he has prepared well for his debut appearance in the 2017 MINI Challenge at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, England.

“This time around I feel like I‘m going to be a little bit more competitive and hopefully up a little bit more with the pack” explained Tim Burton in an interview with the editor of www.EnduranceandGT.co.uk Andy Lloyd.

“Racing side-by-side is perhaps a slightly new experience from that perspective but I’ve been comfortable with the car,” continued Tim. “I’ve had a few training days and Charlie Butler-Henderson has been showing me the ropes. He’s currently top of the standings in MINI Challenge after the first race weekend so, fingers crossed, It’s going to go quite well.”

Well-known for his love of the McLaren brand, could he be persuaded to look at a GT4 drive in 2018?

“Maybe in the future there might be room for something like that. I think I’ve got to get a little bit more used to racing at this level,” said Tim. “In the future, who knows where it goes from this.”

The EnduranceandGT.co.uk team of Andy Lloyd, Paren Ravel and Roger Jenkins wish Tim ‘Shmee150’ Burton the very best of luck for his first race in the 2017 MINI Challenge.

The flag drops for the Race 1 at 10:55 on Sunday April 30.
