The FIA Motorsport Games, to be held at Circuit Paul Ricard and surrounding areas in October, has been expanded to include 18 disciplines
First held in 2019, the event returns in 2021 with a new multi-make prototype category for LMP3 machinery alongside four separate disciplines for rallying.
With its focus on grassroots motorsport, additional karting disciplines have also been introduced for the 2021 event. Junior and senior classes will be contested in the Karting Sprint category as well as additional classes for the Karting Endurance competition.
President of the FIA Drivers Commission, Tom Kristensen , is looking forward to the expanded FIA Motorsport Games schedule.
“As President of the FIA Drivers’ Commission, I am glad to see this amazing event back on track.” said the nine-times Le Mans winner. “The FIA Motorsport Games is an exceptional opportunity for the entire motor sport family to come together, from grassroots level to the elite, with women and men from a host of regions and countries all sharing this passion we have for the sport.
“As drivers, we don’t get many opportunities to race on behalf of our country. I was lucky enough to do my in my career and I have some lasting memories of that time. Whoever you are an whichever country you come from, there’s a category that’s made for you.”
The 2021 FIA Motorsport Games takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet and the surrounding region on October 29 – 31.
