7TSIX Joins British GT with Flewitt and Hankey

Recently formed 7TSIX has announced that it will join the Intelligent Money British GT Championship grid for 2022 with GT4 Pro-Am champions Mia Flewitt and Euan Hankey.

Mia Flewitt is a double Pure McLaren GT Series title winner and first entered the British GT Championship in 2020 in a Pro-Am pairing with Euan Hankey. The duo won on the opening weekend of the championship on their way to claiming the Pro-Am title.

34-year-old Euan Hankey, from Taunton, began his racing career over 20 years ago and has competed in multiple championships and series, focusing on GT machinery since 2010. Hankey has coached Mia Flewitt from her start in racing in 2017.

Mia Flewitt is excited to be joining the GT3 grid for a full season in the premier domestic GT series.

“It has been a rollercoaster ride since I joined the grid in for the first time back in 2017, and it is great to continue gathering momentum,” said Flewitt. “I am so pleased to continue my journey with Euan, who has been a key part of each step so far, and we are more motivated than ever for this latest challenge in the British GT Championship.

“I’m really excited to be heading back to British GT together with 7TSIX for a Pro-Am Championship challenge in the 720S.”

Team manager Jody Firth is keen to his team to make its mark in the coming season.

“It’s a proud moment for me to confirm 7TSIX will race with McLaren Customer Racing as part of the British GT grid and I am really pleased to welcome Mia and Euan to the team as they take this step up to a full season in GT3 competition.”

The 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton Park on April 16 – 18.
