#83 AF Corse Ferrari Crew Wins Le Mans Pit Stop

The 2026 Pit Stop Challenge, held on the Tuesday of race week to coincide with the opening of the circuit and the pit lane to the public, saw Hypercar honours go to the crew of the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P.

The Pit Stop Challenge sees every crew across all three classes compete to change all four wheels. With no driver change or refuelling to slow the pit stop, the record stands at 8.830 seconds, set by the crew of the #93 Peugeot Energies Peugeot 9XB with 8.830 seconds set in 2025.

With the pit lane dry and the conditions warm, the stage was set for another showdown between the pit crews.

Porsche set the early pace with an 8.910 second pit stop set by the crew of the #91 Manthey DK Engineering Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3.

However, it was the immaculate pit work of the crews of the #83 Ferrari and the #69 Team WRT BMW M4 LMGT3 who both set a time of 8.870 seconds to take victory in the Hypercar and LMGT3 classes respectively.

In the LMP2 class, victory went to the #37 CLX Motorsport crew who set a time of 10.600 seconds.

Track action continues in the run-up to the 2026 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the first three-hour practice session getting underway at 2.00pm. Qualifying begins at 6.45pm for the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes with the Hypercar grid going out on circuit at 7.30pm for their 30-minute qualifying session.
