FIA WEC Reveals 2026 Entry List

The FIA World Endurance Championship has released the entry list for the 2026 season.

17 cars representing eight manufacturers will compete in the Hypercar class while the LMGT3 class sees 18 entries representing nine marques.

After the well-documented exit of Porsche from the Hypercar class, the total entry in the class reduces by one after the entries of Porsche Penske Motorsport and Proton stepped back, to be replaced by entries from Hyundai in the form of Genesis Magma Racing.

Of interest is the fact that, of the six driver seats available at Alpine Endurance Team, only two have been confirmed: Antónió Felix da Costa in the #35 Alpine A424 and Frédéric Makowiecki in the sister #36 car. The same applies to Peugeot TotalEnergies where Paul Di Resta has been confirmed to drive the #93 entry and Loïc Duval is set to pilot the #94 Peugeot 9X8.

Perhaps the biggest eye-opener on the list is the lack of confirmed drivers for the Le Mans-winning #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P where only Yifei Ye is currently shown as a confirmed driver.

In the LMGT3 class, only three teams have confirmed driver line-ups for both cars. Garage 59, who are taking over the McLaren 720S entries to allow United Autosports to concentrate on the development of the McLaren Hypercar, has Antares Au, Thomas Fleming and Marvin Kirchhoffer sharing the driving duties in the #10 McLaren while Alexander West, Finn Gehrsitz and Benjamin Goethe will pilot the #58 entry.

Vista AF Corse is the only team to have confirmed an unchanged line-up from 2025 with François Hériau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera piloting the #21 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo while Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Davide Rigon share the driving duties in the #54 car.

Iron Lynx has also confirmed drivers across its pair of Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s; Martin Berry, Rui Andrade and Maxime Martin are partnered in the #61 car while Johannes Zelger, Matteo Cressoni and Lin Hodenius will drive the #79 car.

“The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship entry list once again brings together the most accomplished manufacturers, drivers and teams in endurance racing,” said ACO President Pierre Fillon. “The Hypercar category celebrated an astonishing seven different winning crews from eight races in 2025, and the silverware was similarly widely distributed in LMGT3 where six different line-ups tasted victory.

“This exceptional level of competition confirms that every entrant is performing at the highest standard and hungry for success. We are set for another outstanding season – one that continues to advance technology, sport and the future of endurance racing.”

FIA Endurance Commission President Richard Mille is excited about the forthcoming season.

“Building upon the success and stability of recent seasons, the 2026 FIA WEC entry list is the product of all the hard work that has gone in behind-the-scenes in recent years to raise this magnificent championship to the level at which it operates today,” he said.

“Next year’s grid encapsulates the very essence of what endurance racing should be – major global marques, cutting-edge cars and a driver line-up blending seasoned world champions with rising stars of the sport and ambitious amateurs. The result, I have no doubt, is a surefire recipe for another compelling campaign.”

The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship gets under way in Qatar on March the 28th.
