Rodin Motorsport To Enter British GT in 2026
December 11, 2025Rodin Motorsport, known primarily for its single-seater campaigns, has announced that it will enter the 2026 British GT Championship with a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. The announcement marks the first move into sportscar racing for the team who previously raced under the Carlin Motorsport name until the operation was acquired by New Zealand businessman David Dicker in late 2023.
Dicker is the owner of Rodin Cars, the manufacturer of the Rodin FZED, which has headquarters in his home country.
Rodin Motorsport, who have a long history in single seaters, won the GB3 Championship in 2025 with driver Alex Ninovic who will be graduating to FREC next season with the team. In addition, Rodin Motorsport will have 2026 entries in FIA Formula 2, British F4, F1 Academy and FIA Formula 3.
Rodin Motorsport’s Ferrari 296 GT3 could be the third example from the Italian marque on the 2026 grid after Spirit of Race and Kessel Racing both campaigned 296 GT3s in the 2025 season.
Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford is delighted to be joining the grid of the UK’s premier GT series for the forthcoming season.
“We’re pleased to be adding a British GT programme to our activities for 2026,” he said. “It’s a well-established championship with strong competition and we’ll approach it with the same professionalism we bring to all of our racing operations.”
Rodin Cars founder David Dicker said:
“At Rodin, we are always looking for new opportunities. GT3 is one of the strongest racing categories in the world and we are very happy to join it, especially with a Ferrari.”
The 2026 British GT Championship season gets underway at Silverstone on April the 25th and 26th.
