Nielsen Racing / CrowdStrike Racing by APR Quickest In Opening ALMS Practice Sessions
December 12, 2025Alex Quinn in the #64 Nielsen Racing LMP2 entry topped the time sheets in the first practice session for the opening contest of the 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series at Sepang. Quinn lapped in 1:53.362, over 1.5 seconds quicker than Mathias Beche in the #3 DKR Engineering entry. Mikkel Jensen in the #5 United Autosports entry completed the top three in class with a 1:55.386.
Matteo Quintarelli went quickest in the LMP3 class, lapping the #23 23 Events Racing entry in 2:03.051 with Luciano Morano in the #29 Forestier Racing by VPS entry putting in a 2:03.346 to go second quickest.
Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn was quickest of the GT entries in the opening session, the #56 Aston Martin Vantage AMR putting in a 2:07.395 in the hands of Kobe Pauwels. Dennis Marschall in the #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 was just behind the #56 Aston Martin with a 2:07.566.

In contrast with the dry and warm opening session, the second practice session was wet with track temperatures 16 degrees cooler.
Algarve Pro Racing locked out the quickest times of the session with the #4 Crowdstrike Racing by APR car piloted by Malthe Jakobsen lapping in 1:55.667 and the sister #30 Algarve Pro Racing entry driven by John Falb putting in e 1:56.199.
Quickest of the LMP3 entries in the second session was the #17 CLX Motorsport entry driven by Paul Lanchere who lapped in 2:04.114 with the #9 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 topping the time sheets in GT in the hands of Shigekazu Wasisaka.
Qualifying gets underway on Saturday December the 13th at 9.15am local time.
