Autosport International, the world’s leading motorsport engineering and enthusiasts event, will be celebrating the growing industry of car tuning at its annual show at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre on January 9 – 12 2020.
The Performance & Tuning Car Show 2020, which runs alongside Autosport International on January 11 – 12, will be searching for the top tuned car with the winner having the opportunity to display their vehicle at the four-day event.
The ‘Revving Red Carpet’ organisers are inviting car enthusiasts to submit details about their top tuned vehicle to a panel of experts who will select a Top 20. The public will then be invited to choose the overall winner in an online poll.
Event Sales Manager Andy Stewart is looking to discover new talent in the domestic automotive tuning sector.
“The car-tuning industry has seen a major shift in the last decade, with the introduction of air-ride, coilovers or hydraulics sparking a customisation battle across Europe,” said Andy Stewart. “The industry has also seen a surge in ordinary hatchbacks and saloon cars being fitted with supercar-baiting power, turning a day-to-day family car into a drag racing world-beater.
“To mark the elevation of the sector, we are excited to launch our ‘Revving Red Carpet’, which will, no doubt, uncover an array of hidden automotive gems.”
Tuning enthusiasts should submit details of their customised cars here by October 31. Public voting will open on November 20.
