To celebrate motorsport’s most influential technological innovations, the organisers of the 2020 Autosport International event will be asking the public to vote for their favourites in an on-line poll ahead of the show.
The initiative, called ‘RetroFuture’, will explore the huge contribution that motorsport has played in the development of safer and more efficient vehicles as well the wider impact of breakthroughs such as composites and rapid prototyping .
Autosport International Sales Manager Andy Stewart is keen to celebrate the way in which motorsport technology has influenced the world outside of the confines of the racetrack.
“Beyond Formula 1, motorsport has a long tradition of pioneering technology that went on to play an integral role in everyday life and we are privileged to be able to share these stories,” said Andy Stewart, “Whether it is things that have made us faster, cleaner or safer, many of the great brands and organisations we work with have been pivotal in the development of this technology.
“Autosport International’s RetroFuture campaign will give us a chance to celebrate these contributions and show how far our inspirational industry has evolved.”
The public will be be given the chance to vote on the top 10 most influential motorsport technologies beginning on October 14.
Voting will take place across Autosport International’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
