BMW M Team WRT began testing its new BMW M4 GT3 at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Monday October 3. The team used the day after the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup to gain experience ahead of the 2023 season.
BMW M works driver Philipp Eng supported the team with Valentino Rossi sharing the driving duties.
Team principal Vincent Vosse commented that the test allowed some of its drivers the opportunity to get some laps under their belts in the new car.
“It’s just a first rollout, just to understand the car and how we could work,” said Vosse. “But obviously it is something very different from what we know.
The race schedule for BMW M Team WRT and its driver line-up for 2023 will be announced later in the year.
