Brundle signs Multi-Year Contract with Inter Europol for WEC

Inter Europol Competition has announced that Alex Brundle has signed a multi-year contract with the team to drive the #34 ORECA 07 for the 2022 and 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship seasons.

The Polish-based team announced on social media that Brundle would partner Jakub Śmiechowski for the next two seasons with a third driver to be announced soon.

Brundle joined Inter Europol Competition for the 2021 WEC season to drive alongside Śmiechowski, Renger van der Zande, and Louis Delétraz. With one round remaining in what has been a consistent season for the yellow-and-green squad, Brundle and Śmiechowski lie fifth in the Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers.

The #34 car has had a best-placed finish of fourth in class at Monza and fifth-place finishes in class at Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The final round of the 2021 season, the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain gets underway at 14:00 local time on Saturday November 6. The 2022 championship begins with the 1000 Miles of Sebring before visiting Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans, Monza, Fuji and Bahrain.
