The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS championship springs into life at Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet over March 12 – 13 as many of the season participants gather in the south of France for the official test days.
With interest in the world’s leading GT3 championship having grown considerably in recent years, series organisers SRO Motorsports Group expect a busy two days at the iconic 5.86km circuit.
Lamborghini was the brand to beat in 2019 with Orange1 FFF Racing Team taking overall honours in a highly competitive season. The Italian marque will see nine examples of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 on track over the 14 hours of running allowed over the two days. 10 examples of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be testing as will eight Bentley Continental GT3s, six Porsche 911 GT3 Rs and five Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3s.
The full entry list for the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe season will be revealed during the two days with on-track action beginning at 09:00 local time on Thursday March 12.
Following the test days, the GT World Challenge Europe will assemble next at Brands Hatch on May 2 -3.
