Delétraz and Edgar to join Kubica for 2024 AO by TF ELMS LMP2 Campaign

ORLEN Team AO by TF has announced that Robert Kubica will be joined by Louis Delétraz and Jonny Edgar for the team’s 2024 assault on the European Le Mans Series LMP2 title.

26-year-old Swiss pilot Louis Delétraz is well known to Tom Ferrier’s squad, having been part of the driver line-up that drove the #34 Racing Team Turkey ORECA to third place in the LMP2 Pro/Am standings in 2023, alongside teammates Charlie Eastwood and Salih Yoluç. The trio took two class wins, at Barcelona and Le Castellet, in the opening two rounds.

Delétraz and Kubica have already enjoyed considerable success together as they, along with teammate Yifei Ye, won the 2021 ELMS LMP2 title driving the Team WRT entry.

Joining Kubica and Delétraz will be 19-year-old Jonny Edgar. The young English driver began his racing career in karts in 2012 before graduating to the Italian F4 Championship in 2019. Edgar moved up to the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2021, racing with Carlin before switching to Trident in 2022 and MP Motorsport the following year. Edgar finished 13th in the standings last season.

Robert Kubica is looking forward to the new season.

“I am happy to announce that I will be joining TF Sport together with Louis, with whom I raced in 2021, and Jonny, a very young and talented driver,” said Kubica. “I am looking forward to the ORLEN Team AO by TF in the upcoming 2024 ELMS season, which will certainly not be easy with many extremely competitive cars and driver line-ups.

Coming back to the championship I won together with Louis gives us a lot of confidence, but it will definitely be a tough competition. I can’t wait to start working with a new group of people and a new team.

“I am happy to be part of this project.”

“Coming back to ELMS with Robert means a lot to me after we won the championship in 2021,” said Delétraz. “It will be our fourth year together; I think I will have to start thinking about buying him a ring!

“Also, Jonny’s arrival is fantastic. He is young, fast and a great driver with a bright future ahead of him. I have no doubt he will fit in perfectly.”

For Jonny Edgar, 2024 will offer many learning experiences but he knows he is in good hands with his teammates.

“I am really excited to join such a great team and I am looking forward to working with Louis and Robert,” said Edgar. “Thay have both won many races in important categories and I want to learn as much as I can from them.

“There will be challenges for me this year but I am confident that TF Sport is the best home for this next step in my career.”

The 2024 European Le Mans Series gets underway with the Official Tests in Barcelona on April 9 followed by the opening round at the Circuit de Catalunya on April 14.
