Fannin Returns To JMW For 2021 ELMS Campaign. (12.02.21)

2017 European Le Mans Series GTE champion and Walero brand ambassador Jody Fannin has announced that he is returning to JMW Motorsport for a full-season European Le Mans Series campaign in 2021.

The Kent-based driver revealed on social media that he would be driving the team’s Ferrari F488 GT3 Evo for the 2021 season with his teammates yet to be announced.

Since lifting the 2017 GTE drivers title alongside teammate Rob Smith, Fannin has competed in the VLN Series in 2019 and the China GT Championship with First Team AAI last year. The 27-year-old had a one-off outing with JMW Motorsport in 2020, finishing fourth in class in the opening round at Le Castellet.

Jody Fannin was clearly delighted to be contesting a full season in Europe when he commented on social media:

“It was mega to get back in the car last year for a one-off race, but (I) can’t wait to go for the full season again. (JMW Motorsport is) a mega team and I can’t wait to get back in the Ferrari F488 GTE!”

The opening round of the 2021 European Le Mans Series takes place at Barcelona on April 18.
