Fox Motorsport To Contest 2022 British GT GT3

Maldon, Essex-based Fox Motorsport will graduate to the GT3 class of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship when team regulars Nick Halstead and Jamie Stanley join the 2022 grid in the team’s McLaren 720S GT3.

Nick Halstead has driven with Fox Motorsport since 2017 when he made his debut in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. Halstead first raced in the British GT Championship in 2021 where, alongside teammate Jamie Stanley, the duo contested six rounds of the series in a McLaren 570S GT4. The duo were on the class podium six times.

Nick Halstead is looking forward to joining the GT3 grid in 2022.

“I’m really pleased to continue with Fox Motorsport and Jamie – who’s been coaching me since I started preparing for my first racing season – and to be able to test ourselves against the best teams and drivers in British GT,” he said.

“We did a good job last year in what was my first season in the championship and only missed the GT4 Pro-Am title at the last round by a couple of points, but now it’s the right time to step up.

“We have a great team around us who are very quick at learning how to understand the workings of a new car and that’s hopefully going to put us in with a shout of some strong results this year.”

The 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton Park on April 16 – 18.
