Aberdeen-based Graham Davidson, currently competing in the British GT Championship driving the #47 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 with teammate Jonny Adam, has announced that he will contest the Total 24 Hours of Spa in the #28 Daiko Lazarus Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
Graham Davidson will join an Am Cup line-up of Sylvain Debs, Fernando Navarrente and Immanuel Vinke in the Italian-based squad’s entry.
Davidson, who currently sits third in the British GT Championship’s GT3 Drivers Standings, is looking forward to the challenge of what is arguably the world’s toughest GT3 race. The Scot took his first win in the British GT Championship at the iconic Belgian circuit in 2018, driving the #47 Jetstream Motorsport Aston Martin V12 Vantage alongside then-teammate Maxime Martin.
“I know the circuit well of course and it’s a circuit I always enjoy,” said Martin. “This was a late opportunity for me and one that was too good to refuse, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge with Lazarus Racing and competing in the most prestigious GT race of the season!
“I think our pace should be good across the team as a whole. I’m in a fortunate position in that I have plenty of experience in the British GT Championship. Winning in that category means I expect to be competitive at the Spa 24 in similar machinery.”
SRO Speedweek gets underway on Saturday July 20 when the British GT Championship visits the Ardennes. Track-action for the Total 24 Hours of Spa starts on Tuesday July 23 with the Bronze Test.
