SRO Motorsports Group, the series organiser of the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS series, has announced that the 2020 1000Km round at Circuit Paul Ricard, due to be run on May 30, has now been moved to November 15.
The six-hour event, which traditionally has started at 18:00 on a Saturday and run into the night, is now scheduled to begin at 12:00 on the Sunday.
The rescheduling followed an announcement by the French government that large public gatherings will not be permitted before July 15.
With the global response to the pandemic evolving constantly, SRO Motorsports Group have said that ‘further updates on the 2020 calendar will be provided where necessary’.
