Iron Dames, the project conceived and supported by Deborah Mayer with the aim of promoting women in motorsport, has announced the addition of two drivers to the squad for the upcoming season as well as a re-shuffle in the driver line-up across the championships it will contest.
17-year-old Doriane Pin, finalist in the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars programme, has joined the driver line-up to compete alongside Manuela Gostner in the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup. Pin contested the Renault Clio Cup France in 2020, finishing fourth, after launching her driving career in karting in 2018.
With Manuale Gostner moving to the Michelin Le Mans Cup programme, Iron Dames has recruited Esmee Hawkey to join the team’s European Le Mans Series line-up alongside Michelle Gatting and Rahel Frey.
Iron Lynx has also shuffled its driver line-up for its FIA World Endurance Championship campaign where Katherine Legge will now join Manuela Gostner and Rahel Frey.
Project leader for Iron Dames Deborah Mayer is delighted with the additions to the squad.
“We are extremely happy that Doriane and Esmee are joining us.” said Mayer. “In Iron Lynx, they will be surrounded by a group of amazing and very experienced drivers which are sure to help them integrate and develop further within the GT environment.
“We are convinced that the can do a great job and I wish all of our drivers good luck for the season.”
