Intelligent Money extends British GT Championship title sponsorship until 2027

Intelligent Money, the Nottingham-based investment management firm, personal pension provider and ISA plan manager founded by Julian Penniston-Hill, has extended its title sponsorship of the British GT Championship until 2027, the championship announced today.

Intelligent Money became the series’ primary partner in 2020 and the original deal was due to end at the conclusion of the 2025 season. However the firm has decided, ahead of schedule, to keep the deal in place for a further two years beyond ’25.

Chief Executive Julian Penniston-Hill is pleased at how the partnership between Intelligent Money and the UK’s premier domestic GT racing series has developed.

“We are delighted to make yet another announcement on our long-term support and commitment to the Intelligent Money British GT Championship,” he said.

“The precision, technology and professionalism of all involved fit perfectly with that of IM, delivering the highest possible results without taking unnecessary risks. In signing a new five-year contract we are simply cementing this synergy.

“2023 promises to be an incredible year for the championship, particularly with the addition of Portimão, in my adoptive home country of Portugal, to the calendar. Whilst we celebrate the results of 2022 we also greatly look forward to continuing working very closely with SRO and enjoying the fruits of the work, training and testing undertaken by the teams and drivers this season and beyond.”

Championship Manager Lauren Granville echoed the confidence in the partnership.

“Intelligent Money has become an integral element of the British GT Championship over the past three years and we’re delighted that the partnership is continuing for at least another five. (The partnership) speaks volumes for the potential Julian and his team see in our ongoing collaboration.”

The 2023 season gets underway at Oulton Park on April 8 – 10.
