Intelligent Money, who announced at the start of the 2020 season its three-year title sponsorship of the British GT Championship, has extended the agreement until the end of 2025.

Nottingham-based Intelligent Money, an FCA authorised and regulated investment management firm, currently has over £2bn under management and was founded by Julian Penniston-Hill in 2002. The firm took over the running of the SIPP business of BNP Paribas after the French concern exited the UK SIPP market in 2012.

Intelligent Money branding is currently displayed on the windscreen banners of both the GT3 and GT4 entries and supported by trackside advertising. The firm’s sponsorship allows the UK’s premier domestic GT racing series to continue to commit to live, unrestricted streaming during race weekends.

Intelligent Money Chief Executive Julian Penniston-Hill is excited at the opportunities that working with SRO Motorsports Group and the British GT Championship offers his firm.

“I am delighted that Intelligent Money will remain an integral element of British GT for another five years,” said Julian Penniston-Hill. “Restrictions have undoubtedly made some elements of our partnership more difficult to realise this year, but SRO Motorsports Group has responded by ensuring that IM remains front and centre at every round. Reciprocating that commitment is very important to Intelligent Money and me personally and also underlines the strength of our partnership with SRO Motorsports.

“Indeed, we need to have some stability whatever the world throws at us. Extending our agreement, even in these most challenging times, demonstrates that positive developments are still possible.”

Manager of the British GT Championship Lauren Granville, is equally excited at Intelligent Money’s commitment to the series.

“Securing a long-term partnership with Intelligent Money not only highlights the company’s commitment to British GT and SRO Motorsports Group. but also the championship’s status as one of the UK’s most prestigious motorsport series,” said Lauren Granville. “We look forward to working with Julian and his team over the next five years and hopefully beyond.”

The Intelligent Money British GT Championship makes it second visit in 2020 to Donington Park on September 19 – 20 for a three-hour race.
