Jordan Witt Returns to GT World Challenge Europe with Leipert

British pilot Jordan Witt has announced that he will be rejoining the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS grid to contest the Endurance Cup with Leipert Motorsport. Witt will be joined by New Zealand driver Brendon Leitch and young German racer Dennis Fetzer.

Witt raced across a number of series in 2021, including the Fanatec GT2 European Series with Toro Verde GT and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series.

The Nantwich-based driver last raced in the Endurance Cup, then titled the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, in 2019 when he finished 4th in the Silver Cup drivers standings, piloting the #78 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan with teammates James Pull and Sandy Mitchell. The trio took a class victory at the Spa 24.

Jordan Witt is delighted to be back on the Endurance Cup grid for the new season.

“It’s mega news to be coming back to GT World Challenge Europe,” said Jordan Witt. “We’ve got unfinished business there and any GT3 driver will tell you it’s the place to be. Being back in a GT3 Lamborghini really is an exciting prospect. It’s an amazing car and I’ve always gone well in the Huracan – winning the Silver Cup at the Spa 24 Hours in 2019 obviously being the highlight so far.

“I’m looking forward to my first run in Leipert’s car next week and teaming up with Brendon and Dennis this year. Hopefully we can prepare as strongly as possible and go into the first round at Imola in the best possible shape.”

The 2022 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS season gets underway at Imola on April 1 – 3.
