Leipert Motorsport to enter Spa round of British GT

Leipert Motorsport, the German GT racing team based near Düsseldorf and run by Ingo and Marcel Liepert, has announced that it will enter the Round Four of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Spa-Francorchamps on July 24 – 25.

Leipert Motorsport has entries in the Creventic 24h series as well as five entries in the 2021 Lamborghini Super Trofeo series.

Fidel Leib and Brendon Leitch will share the driving duties in the team’s British GT entry, having been teammates in the team’s #10 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in the 2021 24H Series, finishing third overall at the opening round at the HockenheimRing.

25-year-old Brendan Leitch began his driving career in karts. The New Zealander graduated to cars with the 2009-10 South Island Formula Ford Championship and first competed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series with Leipert Motorsport in 2019, finishing fifth in the World Final and runner-up in the Super Trofeo Asia’s Pro-Am class.

German driver Fidel Leib first raced GT machinery in 2016 when he contested the Nürburgring 24 Hours with PROsport-Performance in the team’s Porsche Cayman Pro4. The 33-year-old driver has twice won his class at the German endurance classic.

Both drivers will be making their British GT debut at Spa.
