Century Motorsport has announced that Mark Kimber has withdrawn from the team for the final round of the British GT Championship at Donington Park. Kimber’s seat will be taken by Niall Murray, winner of the 2018 Avon Tyres Formula Ford Championship.
In a brief statement published ahead of the first practice session for the British GT grid, the Fenny Compton-based squad, said.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark Kimber is unable to race this weekend. Niall Murray will take Mark’s seat for the final round of the British GT Championship.
“We are gutted that Mark cannot finish the season with us after showing tremendous skills in his first year of racing cars. We would like to welcome Niall to the team and we wish all our drivers the best of luck this weekend.”
Along with teammate Jacob Matthiessen, Mark Kimber was lying 16th in the GT4 Silver drivers standings.
