With teammates Alex Lynn and Harry Tincknell, Martin won the LMGTE Pro class at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans with the British marque.
Martin returned to BMW at the start of the 2023 season, competing in GT World Challenge Europe and partnering Valentino Rossi. Martin was also involved in the testing of the BMW M Hybrid V8. In the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, Martin and Rossi finished 9th in the drivers standings
“I’me very happy to join Iron Lynx for the 2025 WEC season,” said Maxime Martin. “Mercedes-AMG is a new manufacrturer for me and for the team and I’m defininitely looking forward to the year ahead. Iron Lynx has a remarkable histiory, and I have been teammates wth Andrea Piccini (Iron Lynx Team Principal) in the past. It will be special to be back with him as Team Principal.
“I cannot wait to get started in Qatar and try to win some races!”
Andrea Piccini is delighted to welcome Martin to his driver line-up.
I have always held Maxime in very high regard,” he said. “We have a very friendly relationship and we also had the chance to race together in 2013, finising second in the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring. He’s a really strong driver, extremely quick and particularly able to master challenging conditions. I have seen him do exceptional things throughout the years without any mistakes, which makes him a top contender, especially in the long-distance races.
“If we add his experience and team-player ability, I honestly think he’s one of the best possible choices for any team, and I’m proud to welcome him to Iron Lynx for the 2025 season.”
