Pierce And Morris Return To Blancpain GT Series With Team Parker Racing (13.03.19)

Derek Pierce and 2017 British GT Champion Seb Morris will return to the Blancpain Gt Series Endurance Cup, driving the Team Parker Racing new-generation Bentley Continental GT3.

It has been a busy two weeks for Morris after it was announced, on the eve of the British GT Championship media Day on March 5, that he and fellow 2017 GT3 champion Rick Parfitt Jnr would be making a return to the domestic series this season.

Derek Pierce and Seb Morris finished ninth in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Pr-Am drivers standings in 2018.

The young Welsh driver was delighted to confirm another season with the J & D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd-backed Pierce for the forthcoming season.

“I’m mega excited to be back in Blancpain for a second season with Team Parker,” said Morris. “It’s great to be back and especially with the new Bentley Continental as well. It’s obviously fantastic to be working with Derek again. The deal has all been possible thanks to his support and that of J & D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd so I’m looking to repay that faith in me with some big results.”

With his prior commitment as part of the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa driver line-up for MSport, Morris will drive with Derek Pierce for four of the five Endurance Cup rounds.

The opening round of the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will be held at April 13-14.
