RJN Motorsport, who currently oversee the two UltaTek Racing Nissan 370Z GT4s in the British GT Championship, has announced that it will campaign a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 in 2018.

RJN Motorsport has significant experience with the car, having run the Nissan GT3 programme in the Blancpain GT Series.

Devon Modell and Struan Moore will be driving the #24 entry. Moore was part of RJN’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup squad in 2017 but also drove the team’s Nissan 370Z GT4 at the Silverstone round of the British GT Championship.

Devon Modell returns to the British GT Championship after a four-year gap since he finished runner-up in the GT4 class in 2014 with Andrew Jarman in the TF Sport Aston Martin GT4 Challenge entry. Modell enjoyed a busy season in 2017, racing in the Asian Le Mans Series with Wineurasia, the Lamborghini Suoer Trofeo Middle East with FFF Racing Team by ACM, the Blancpain GT Series Asia with Craft Bamboo Racing in its Porsche 911 GT3 R and two rounds of the Henderson Insurance Racing Brokers LMP3 Cup Championship with Speedworks Motorsport.

Modell is looking forward to the challenge ahead.

“For me, the British GT Championship is unfinished business,” said Modell. “I’m really excited to be back in the series and I can safely say I am looking forward to getting the maximum out of this package having seen it in action recently testing at Snetterton.”

Team Principal Bob Neville is confident the #24 entry will surprise the established front-running teams.

“We’re delighted to welcome Devon to the team,” he said. “While we know the competition will be tough, we have a strong partnership here with our drivers and we’re confident that we’ll be competitive.

The 2018 British GT Championship season opens at Oulton ark on March 31 – April 2.
