Intelligent Money British GT Championship debutant 2 Seas Motorsport has announced a second GT3 Silver entry for the 2020 season.
Jack Mitchell will drive alongside teammate Jordan Witt in the team’s #10 McLaren 720S, to be seen for the first time at the opening round at Oulton Park on August 1 – 2. The team had previously announced the Silver driver pairing of Dean Macdonald and Angus Fender.
Having won the GT4 Silver drivers title in 2018, Mitchell finished second in the 2019 GT3 Silver drivers standings, piloting the #9 Century Motorsport BMW M6 GT3.
Jordan Witt joins 2 Seas Motorsport with considerable GT racing experience, having first raced in the British GT Championship in 2011. The 29-year-old had a busy 2019, contesting the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with Barwell Motorsport as well as outings in the 24H Dubai and the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
Team co-owner Isa Al-Khalifa was delighted to add another strong pairing to the driver line-up.
“With Jack and Jordan joining the team, 2 Seas Motorsport is in an even stronger position to fight for Silver honours in the GT3 class,” said Al-Khalifa. “The grid is extremely strong across all the classes, and the championship continues to attract some world-class drivers which is sure to guarantee a season of close racing at every round. Our season has started well with strong results on the virtual tracks in the e-sports arena, but this is what we’re focused on – finally getting back out on track and putting the practice and preparation into action for real.”
Nick Cristofaro, fellow co-owner, is looking forward to the seeing the team’s chrome blue and black-liveried entries fighting for class honours.
“It is great to welcome Jack and Jordan in to the 2 Seas Motorsport family and to be able to confirm the second line-up on the eve of the delayed season start,” said Cristofaro. “Both Jack and Jordan bring a depth of British GT Championship experience.”
The 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton park on August 1 – 2 with two one-hour sprint races.
