SRO Motorsports Group, the series organiser of GT World Challenge, has announced the launch of an E-Sports championship that will be contested over five rounds with a grand finale.
Organised by SRO E-Sport GT Series, Kunos Simulazione and Ak Informatica, the championship will see real-world GT drivers compete against sim racers and wild card entrants.
The opening round will take place at Silverstone on April 26, Round Two at Spa on May 10, Round Three at the Nurburgring on May 17 with the fourth round at Barcelona taking place on May 31.
The venue for the fifth round, scheduled for June 14, will be determined by public vote.
The championship will feature three classes. The Pro Series will feature real-world drivers, the Silver Series will be contested by pro sim racers while an Am Series, which will take place over five consecutive Saturdays from May 16.
Pre-registration is now open at www.sro-esport.com. More details of race formats will be announced during the week of April 13.
