French engine-builder Mecachrome has been confirmed as engine supplier for the new Ginetta LMP1 project. Ginetta had previously announced its plans in January to build an LMP1 car for 2018. Ginetta Technical Director Ewan Baldry was impressed with the engine manufacturer’s experience, expertise and production facilities when he visited Mecachrome’s head office early in February.
