TF Sport announces Juncadella and Eastwood for 2024 WEC Corvette Programme

Dani Juncadella and Charlie Eastwood have been announced as the two Pro drivers for TF Sport’s Corvette driver line-up for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship.

Eastwood is a pilot of long-standing for Tom Ferrier’s West Sussex-based squad, having first raced for TF Sport in 2018 at the start of his professional association with Aston Martin Racing. The Belfast-born driver has gone on to win the LMGTE AM class at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as take the drivers title in the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup alongside Salih Yoluç and Ahmad Al Harthy.

Daniel ‘Dani’ Juncadella began his car racing career in 2007 and has competed in GT machinery since 2016. In 2022, the 32-year-old Spanish driver won the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the Intercontinental GT Challenge as well as finishing on the podium at the Nürburgring 24. 2024 will mark Juncadella’s debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Both Eastwood and Juncadella are both delighted to have been given the opportunity to compete for the GT title in 2023 as the FIA WEC enters a new era of GT3 machinery representing the pinnacle of GT racing at world level.

“I am delighted to join TF Sport’s WEC campaign in the brand-new Corvette Z06 GT3.R,” said Eastwood. “It is an absolute honour to be an official Corvette driver and even more to race with the team I have been with since my first endurance race. As always the WEC will be super-competitive, but I know we have all the tools to aim for the championship.

“Qatar can’t come soon enough.”

Dani Juncadella said: “I am enormously excited for this new chapter in my career. Joining TF Sport for the 2024 WEC season is a dream come true. It will be my first time competing in the WEC and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and I can’t wait to meet everyone in the team and get to work.

“The new Corvette ZO6 GT3.R looks like a proper weapon. I look forward to getting my hands on it.”

For TF Sport director Tom Ferrier, Corvette represents a new path for the team he founded nearly ten years ago.

“It is an exciting new chapter for TF Sport with Corvette and we are very happy to welcome Daniel and Charlie to the team as our Pro Drivers. Although he is new to us, Daniel needs no introduction; his results in GT3 speak for themselves. Charlie has been an integral part of TF’s success and we are very happy to be able to continue this journey with him in our new challenge.

“Both drivers bring speed and experience and know how to win and we couldn’t be happier with the choice of driver that GM has supplied us with.”

The 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship gets underway in Qatar on March 3rd.
