VDS Panis Wins at Portimão To Take LMP2 Title In Dramatic ELMS Season Finale

The #48 VDS Panis Racing LMP2 Oreca took the chequered flag in Portugal win the LMP2 team and drivers titles for Oliver Gray, Charles Milesi and Estaban Masson. Gray took the chequered flag just over 5.5 seconds ahead of the #43 Inter Europol Competition entry with Jakub Smiechowski at the wheel of the car he shared with Tom Dillman and Nick Yelloly.

Completing the LMP2 podium was the #18 IDEC Sport entry, Jamie Chadwick taking the chequered flag in the car she shared with Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Juncadella.

Victory at Portimão meant that Milese, Masson and Gray secured the LMP2 Drivers title with 106 points, 14 points ahead of the second-placed #43 Inter Europol Competition crew of Smiechowski, Yelloly and Dillman.

Jamie Chadwick, Dani Juncadella and Mathys Jaubert narrowly missed out on second place in the drivers standings by just two points, the trio finishing 36 ahead of Ryan Cullen, Vladislav Lomko and Pietro Fittipaldi, the 4th-placed crew of the #10 Vector Sport entry.  

Victory in the LMP2 Pro-Am class went to the #29 TDS Racing entry driven by Rodrigo Sales, Mathias Beche and Clément Novalak with the #99 AO by TF entry driven by PJ Hyett, Louis Deletraz and Dane Cameron finishing 17.455 seconds behind in second. Third place went to the #27 Nielsen Racing entry driven by John Falb, James Allen and Sergio Sette Camara.

The #99 crew’s second place meant that Cameron, Delétraz and Hyett secured the LMP2 Pro/Am Drivers title, finishing just five points ahead of #20 Algarve Pro Racing driver line-up of Kriton Lentoudis, Alex Quinn and Olli Caldwell who could only manage an 8th-place finish in class in the final contest of the season.

Race winners Sales, Beche and Novalak closed out the 2025 season third in the LMP2 Pro/Am drivers standings on 89 points.

The LMP3 battle was won by the #17 CLX Motorsport Ligier piloted by Paul Lanchere, Adrien Closmenil and Theodor Jensen, followed by the #8 Team Virage Ligier with Julien Gerbi, Daniel Nogales and Rik Koen sharing the driving duties. The top three in class were completed by the #4 DKR Engineering Ginetta driven by Antti Rammom Wyat Brichacek and Mikkel Pederson.

Lanchere, Closmenil and Jensen finished the season with a commanding lead in the LMP3 drivers standings, their 130 points being 61 ahead of Daniel Nogales and Rik Koen.

In a close-fought GT3 battle, the #82 TF Sport Corvette Z06 LNGT3 R driven by Hiroshi Koizumi, Rui Andrade and Charlie Eastwood crossed the finish line just under half a second ahead of the #23 United Autosports McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo with Michael Birch, Garnet Patterson and Wayne Boyd sharing the driving duties.   

The #82 TF Sport crew secured the LMGT3 drivers title by eight points, Eastwood, Koizumi and Andrade finishing on 78 points ahead of the #50 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari 296 LMGT3 driver line-up of Custodio Toledo, Lilou Wadoux and Riccardo Agostini.

Third place in the LMGT3 drivers standings went to the #59 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Vantage crew of Clément Mateu, Erwan Bastard and Valentin Hasse Clot.
