The #50 Ferrari AF Corse Ferrari 499P has been disqualified from the final results of the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The #50 Ferrari, driven Antonio Fuoco, Niklas Nielsen and Miguel Molina, was found to be in contravention of the LMH Technical Regulations during post-race scrutineering. The scrutineers deternined that the Ferrari’s rea-wing support ‘was not in compliance with the deflection test indicated in Article 3.8.7 of the 2025 LMH Technical Regulations and the homologation form for Car #50.’
The stewards’ decision highlighted irregularities concerning missing bolts in the rear wing support and a rear wing deflection measurement of 52mm, in contrast to the maximum permissible deflection of 15mm.
The scrutineers findings were not challenged by the team, who stated that there was no performace advantage gained from the changes. The scrutineers, however, said that the non-compliance of the rear wing assembly presented ‘ a risk of structural failuer under high-speed stress or fatigue, which cannot be overlooked.’
As a result of the disqualification, the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Cadillac V-Series.R, driven by Jenson Button, Earl Bamber and Sébastien Bourdais moves into fourth place while the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010-Hybrid piloted by Mile Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries moves into fifth.
The standings of the #83 and #51 Ferraris were not affected.
