#51 Ferrari AF Corse Wins 2024 Pit Stop Challenge at 24 Hours of Le Mans

The crew of the #51 Ferrari AF Corse Ferrari 499P won the 2024 Pit Stop Challenge at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Pit Stop Challenge was first introduced in 2022 and has previously been won by Toyota and Peugeot. However, on an overcast Tuesday afternoon at the start of race week and in front of a huge crowd who had gathered in the pit lane for the drivers autograph session, the #51 Ferrari AF Corse crew got their car off the ground, changed all four wheels and dropped the Ferrari 499P off its air jacks in 9.68 seconds to, beating the time of 10.067 seconds set in 2023.

The crew emphasised the training they undergo every day. “We do five (pit stops) a day on average,” said a team member. “The goal is to go under ten seconds but we only have on try!”
