Balfe Motorsport has announced that it will field three GT4 entries for the final round of the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Silverstone on November 7 – 8.
Joining the current full-season Pro-Am entry of Mia Flewitt and Euan Hankey will be the pairing Jan Klingensberg and Warren Hughes who last raced at Donington earlier in the season.
In addition, Lars Dahmann and Charlie Hollings will join the Lincolnshire-based squad in a third McLaren 570S GT4 for the Silverstone round.
Dahmann has previously raced in the Pure McLaren GT series, as has teammate Mia Flewitt, and was looking for an opportunity to gain more experience in top-level GT racing.
“After a couple of years on track doing some classes and coaching, I wanted to get more competitive, one thing led to another and I did Pure McLaren and really liked it,” said Dahmann. “It is a fantastic programme to get you ready to race professionally. I wanted to apply the skills I have learned to the international field and I think the UK is the best place to do that, racing with a very competitive group of people.
“Charlie is not only a very skilled driver but also a skilled coach so I have learned a lot of things from him.”
Charlie Hollings began his racing career in the 1999 Formula First Great Britain Winter Series and most recently raced with Red River Sport in the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship.
“It’s great to be back in the British GT Championship and this known environment,” said Hollings. “The appeal for Lars is the ability to measure himself against the competition. Now we’ll have competitors in the same class and so it helps to work a bit harder and dig a bit deeper for the competitive edge.
In what promises to be a fascinating final round of the 2020 championship, the series organisers are promising further race-by-race entries next week.
