Scott Sport has announced that it will enter the final round of the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship with John Dhillon and Phil Quaife sharing the driving duties in their Ferrari F488 Evo. The duo have campaigned the car in this season’s GT Cup.
Phil Quaife will be making his first start in the premier domestic GT series since the final round of the 2009 season at Brands Hatch.
Eurokey Recycling Group Managing Director John Dhillon has been competing in Ferraris since his first appearance in the iconic Italian marque in the 2011 British GT Championship. For the past three seasons, Dhillon has also contested the Ferrari Challenge Europe – Trofeo Pirelli Am class.
Phil Quaife is delighted to be returning to the British GT paddock.
“After 12 years it’s great to be making a British GT comeback in the 488 Challenge with Scott Sport and John Dhillon,” said Phil Quaife. “GTC will open up a new class for BGT and we hope to see many cars line up on the grid at the start of the Silverstone 500.
“John and I have already enjoyed some success together with the Ferrari this year and I hope we can continue that going into our last race of 2020.”
The final round of the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship takes place at Silverstone on November 7 – 8. Pandemic restrictions unfortunately mean that the event will be without spectators but the event will be streamed on the SRO Motorsports Group YouTube channel ‘GT World’.
