2020 champion Sandy Mitchell showed the pace of the #1 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 when he lapped in 1:27.220 in the second practice session ahead of Round Three of the 2021 Intelligent Money British GT Championship, .019 seconds quicker than Scott Malvern in the #66 Team Parker Racing Porsche who put in a 1:17.239
Completing the top three on the timing screens was the #77 Enduro Motorsports McLaren, quickest in FP1, in which Marcus Clutton lapped in 1:27.245.
The GT4 field was led by the #15 Toyota GAZOO GR Supra GT4 driven by John Ferguson and Scott McKenna which lapped in 1:35.618, just half a second quicker than the #3 Team Rocket RJN McLaren 570S GT4 piloted by Alain Valente and Michael Benyahia,
Third quickest in the GT4 field was the sister #4 Team Rocket RJN McLaren of Harry Hayek and Katie Milner.
The session was largely uneventful except for a red flag when Sam Neary had a tyre issue in the #8 Team Abba Racing. The 60-minute practice session was neutralised with just over 38 minutes remaining with the exact issue with the #8 Mercedes unclear. The #8 car required assistance back to the garage and took no further part in FP2
Qualifying for the third round of the 2021 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at 16:00 on Saturday July 10.
