Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Reveals Driver Line-Ups for 2025 WEC

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has revealed its driver line-ups for the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season. The team, founded by Sam Hignett and David Clark, will be entering two Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh cars as the Cadillac factory entry in the WEC after two years campaigning the Porsche 963.

The team, based near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, had previously announced their drivers but had not confirmed how they would be partnered for the season.

The #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V.Series.R LMDh will be piloted by Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens while the sister “Mighty” #38 car will see Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais and Jenson Button share the driving duties.

Team Principal Dieter Gass explained the thinking behind the 2025 pairings.

“We have six extremely strong drivers with a combination of experience and fresh eyes on the Cadillac programme. Each of these drivers brings something unique to the table, and as a team, our job was to establish which combinations made the most sense to maximise the overall strengths of the group.

“While character and personality play a big role in team dynamics, driving style and preferences were also key factors in determining who would be paired in each car. We took our time over this process and we’re really forward to seeing what these trios can achieve in Qatar and beyond.”

JOTA co-founder David Clark emphasised the importance of team dynamics in arriving at the ideal driver combinations.

“Getting that chemistry right, not only between drivers but the entire team, is something we pride ourselves on as a team. There’s no one individual more important than the rest. Absolutely everybody has their role to play and creating the right dynamic in which everyone can achieve their best is crucial to on-track success for us.

“During pre-season testing we’re seen an incredible team spirit already build between our drivers and their crews and this is extremely encouraging but we don’t take anything for granted. That’s the JOTA way!”

The 2025 FIA WEC Official Prologue gets underway at the Lusail International Circuit, Qatar on February 21st – 22nd followed by the opening round, the Qatar 1812KM, on February the 28th.
