Gensesis Magma Racing has revealed its GMR-001 Hypercar in preparation for the Korean manufacturer’s entry into the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2026 and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2027.
The team has also announced an entry into the 2025 European Le Mans Series as part of its preparations.
The Genesis Magma GMR-001 has been built to LMDh regulations, combining cutting-edge hybrid technology with standardsied components to ensure cost control and competitive parity.

The GMR-001 Hypercar was developed at Genesis Design Europe under the guidance of Luc Donckerwolke and the car’s distinctive black finish and design cues are drawn from the Magma line-up.

Cyril Abiteboul, President of Hyundai Motorsport GmBH and Team Principal of Genesis Magma Racing is delighted that the company is now in a position to reveal its new car.

André Lotterer and Pipo Derani will lead the technical development driving duties as the team movesint its final development year before competition.
The team will collaborate with IDEC Sport to field an LMP2 entry in the 2025 European Le Mans Series featuring a driver line-up of Logan Sargeant, Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert as Genesis Magma Racing consolidates its operations at a permanent strategic base at Circuit Paul Ricard, leveraging its proximity to ORECA Motorsport and IDEC Sport.
