Hartshorne, Adam and Chaves to contest Asian and European Le Mans Series with TF Sport

TF Sport has announced that John Hartshorne, Jonny Adam and Henrique Chaves will contest both the Asian Le Mans Series and European Le Mans Series in the TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

Hartshorne and Adam ran in sister cars in the 2021 AsLMS and will be joined in 2022 by Henrique Chaves in preparation for an entry into the European Le Mans Series.

Chaves graduated from karts to cars in 2015 and begun competing in the ELMS in 2018. The 24-year-old Portuguese pilot won the International GT3 PRO category in 2020 with Teo Martin Motorsport and finished second in the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with Barwell Motorsport.

TF Sport Team Principal Tom Ferrier is delighted his driver line-up for the series’.

“It’s great to have John back with us for a double-championship programme, Jonny is always a pleasure to work with and I’m really pleased to have Henrique join us at TF Sport,” said Tom Ferrier. “The Asian Le Mans Series is ideal to prepare for the full ELMS season and I have no doubt we can help John improve even more so than he dd last year.”

Silver-rated Henrique Chaves is looking forward to the two campaigns.

“TF Sport is a very capable and successful team and I’m very happy and excited for this new challenge in the Middle East but also very happy to be back in the ELMS,” said Chaves. “I’m confident that together with John, Jonny and TF Sport we are able to achieve very good results in Asian Le Mans Series as well as in the ELMS and it is just a bonus to have the chance to finish the season in Portimao in front of my home crowd.”

The Asian Le Mans Series gets underway on February 11 at the Dubai Autodrome.
