Reigning British GT Champion Jonny Adam will return for the final round of the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship to drive the Garage 59 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 alongside teammate Alex West.
Four-time champion Adam was due to defend his title this season, driving with Ahmad Al Harthy in the Oman Racing with TF Sport Aston Martin. Both TF Sport GT3 entries were withdrawn, however, ahead of the opening round. The 2017 LM GTE Pro and 2020 LM GTE Pro Am class winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans has previously made an appearance in this year’s championship when he drove with Andrew Howard in the #7 Beechdean Motorsport entry at Brands Hatch in August.
Alex West has enjoyed a busy season in 2020, competing in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the Intercontinental GT Challenge with Garage 59 as well as the European Le Mans Series with AF Corse.
Jonny Adam is looking forward to competing at the home of British motorsport in the Silverstone 500.
“I’m excited to be joining Alex and the Garage 59 crew at the Silverstone 500, the final round of British GT,” he said. “It’s a strategic race being three hours and a circuit that should suit our Aston Martin Vantage GT3 perfectly. We have tested well there this season so we’re looking forward to joining in with what promises to be a fantastic season finale.”
The final round of the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship takes place on November 7 – 8 with live streaming on the SRO YouTube channel ‘GT World’.
