JRM Group has announced that it will not be fielding an entry in the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship.
The team had originally entered its #11 Bentley Continental GT3 for reigning GT4 Pro-Am champions Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman who were to make their debut in the senior class this season.
In a press release today, the team said that it has made the decision ‘in collaboration with the drivers, sponsors and partners of the racing team and in response to the current COVID-19 situation in the UK and across the globe and how the pandemic is taking its toll on people’s lives’.
Jason King, Managing Director of JRM Group said:
“Companies have closed, people have been furloughed and, in many cases, made redundant. Everyone’s livelihood has been affected and some families have lost loved ones.”
The Northamptonshire-based advanced engineering and manufacturing company team has indicated that it has not ruled out entering the Silverstone 500 for the final round of the 2020 British GT Championship but will be guided by the COVID-19 position closer to the time.
