The Team Tegiwa pairing of Luke Sedzikowski and Dave Whitmore have announced that they will be joining the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship for two rounds with Century Motorsport.
Sedzikowski and Whitmore will race their BMW M4 GT4 in the condensed season.
Co-owner and director of one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of aftermarket performance parts – Tegiwa, Luke Sedzikowski has has had several years experience of club racing while teammate Dave Whitemore has raced in Britcar, the BMW Compact Cup, the M3 Cup and, latterly, the Gulf 12 Hours in an Aston Martin GT4.
The bronze driver pairing will make their debut in the opening round at Oulton Park prior to which they will be testing. The duo will also be racing at the Donington Park round in September.
Luke Sedzikowski is looking forward to his first outing in the premier domestic GT championship.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be making the step up from club level racing into one of the UK’s most recognised championships, British GT,” said Sedzikowski. “Teaming up with the 2018 GT4 champions, Century Motorsport, is an exciting opportunity and that provides us with a lot of confidence to be challenging for decent positions.
“I’m thrilled to be sharing the car with Dave Whitmore again, as we’ve built up a fantastic partnership over the last season in our M4. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the M4 GT4 and see what we can do.”
“I’m not sure sure I’m going to be able to contain my excitement in the following weeks as we look forward to competing in the opening round at Oulton Park,” said Dave Whitmore. “I couldn’t be happier to be sharing the car with Luke. We’ve done a lot of racing together and we provide each other with a good balance.”
The 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton Park on August 1 – 2.
