Le Mans LMP2 Grid Sees 17 Entries with Nine in Pro/Am

The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans will see another full grid of LMP2 entries with 17 entries declared on the provisional entry list. Nine of the 17 entries will be in the Pro/Am class.

There are five invitational entries on the current entry lost. The #16 RLR M Sport invitation was earned as a result of the team’s LMP3 championship win in the 2024 European Le Mans Series. Nick Adcock, Michael Jensen and Gael Julien the team’s 2024 LMP3 entry, of which only Jensen joins for the 2025 LMP2 Le Mans campaign. Jensen will be joined by Ryan Cullen and Patrick Pilet at La Sarthe.

Following Nick Boulle receiving the 2024 Jim Trueman Trophy, Inter Europol has entered its #34 LMP2 ORECA for Le Mans. Boulle will share the driving duties with Luca Ghiotto and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer.

Inter Europol Competition has a second invitation to join the LMP2 grid, courtesy of the team’s 2nd-place finish in the 2024 European Le Mans Series. The #43 car will be piloted by Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillman and Nick Yelloly.

After winning the LMP2 class at the 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series, Algarve Pro Racing has been invited to enter its #45 Pro/Am car. CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz will share the driving duties with Nicky Catsburg and Alexander Quinn.

The final invitation was extended to AF Corse after the team won the 2024 ELMS Pro/Am title. Francois Perrodo, Mattieu Vaxiviere and Antonio Felix da Costa will pilot the team’s #83 ORECA with Felix Da Costa replacing Alessio Rovera from the victorious 2024 line-up.

One of the most interesting entries on the 2025 Le Mans LMP2 grid will be the #18 IDEC Sport entry with the driver line-up of Jamie Chadwick, Mathys Jaubert and André Lotterer. The team is working in partnership with Genesis Magma as the latter prepares its squad to enter the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2026 with its new GMR-001 hypercar.

26-year-old Janie Chadwick started kart racing at the age of 11 and moved into car racing when she won a scholarship for the 2013 Ginetta Junior Championship. Alongside teammate Ross Gunn, Chadwick won the 2015 British GT Championship GT4 title behind the wheel of the Beechdean Motorsport Aston Martin. After moving into single-seater racing in 2017, Chadwick went on to become the only female driver to win a British F3 race in the 2018 season in which she finished 8th in the standings.

Jamie Chadwick joined the W Series for its inaugural 2019 season and the won the title in her debut year which she went to retain for the following two seasons. Chadwick then moved her racing focus to the US in 2022 and tested an Andretti Autosport Indy Lights car before signing with the team for the 2023 Indy NXT season. She returned to the team for the 2024 season and took a lights-to-flag victory at Road America on her way to finish 7th in the championship standings.

Jamie Chadwick joined IDEC Motorsport in December 2024 in preparation for the 2025 European Le Mans Series season in collaboration with Genesis Magma Racing.

André Lotterer is one of the most successful endurance racing drivers of the modern era. The 43-year-old German pilot has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on three occasions with Audi and has raced in numerous championships, with notable successes in Japan, winning the Formula Nippon Championship in 2011 and the Super GT Championship twice.

Lotterer drove for six seasons in the FIA Formula E World Championship before joining Porsche Penske Motorsport to drive the Porsche 963 in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2023. Driving alongside Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor, the trio finished 6th in the Hypercar drivers’ standings before winning the title in 2024 in a season which included wins at Losail and Fuji.

Since graduating from karting at the end of the 2019 season, 20-year-old Mathys Jaubert has focused on sportscar racing. The young Frenchman finished 2nd in the 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup France and 3rd in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. Like his teammate Jamie Chadwick, 2025 is the first year that Jaubert has competed in prototypes.
